FAQ

Product & Specs

What’s the difference between Wh, W, and surge?

Wh (watt-hours) = battery capacity (how much energy is stored).
W (watts) = output power (how much can be delivered at once).
Surge = short burst power for devices that need extra oomph to start (e.g., compressors, power tools).

What can a VoltusBox power?

Common loads include LED lights, phones/laptops (USB-C PD), routers, mini-fridges, CPAP machines, power-tool chargers, and small kitchen appliances. Always check your device’s wattage and ensure it’s within the station’s continuous output and surge limits.

How do I estimate runtime?

Use: runtime ≈ (capacity × 0.85) ÷ device watts. Example: 3600Wh powering a 60W fridge ≈ (3600 × 0.85) ÷ 60 ≈ 51 hours. Actual times vary with temperature, inverter efficiency, and usage pattern.

Does it support solar charging? What panels can I use?

Yes — VoltusBox models are solar-ready. Use our matching foldable panels or any panel within the supported voltage/current range (see product page). MC4 adapters are typically included or available as accessories.

How long does charging take (AC / car / solar)?
  • AC wall: fastest and most convenient.
  • Car (12V): slower; good while driving.
  • Solar: depends on sun and panel wattage; ideal for off-grid days.

See each model page for typical charge times.

Can it act as a UPS for my PC or router?

Yes, many users run routers and PCs through VoltusBox. Transfer time is brief; for mission-critical servers, verify transfer specs per model first.

Can I charge the unit while powering devices (pass-through)?

Yes — pass-through is supported. For best battery health, avoid running at maximum output while charging for extended periods.

Can VoltusBox charge an electric vehicle?

It’s suitable for emergency top-ups, adding limited range on compatible EV chargers within the power rating. It’s not a full-time EV charger.

What’s the noise level?

Operation is generally silent except for low-speed cooling fans under heavy load or fast charging — far quieter than fuel generators.

Is it water-resistant? Can I use it outdoors?

Use on dry, stable surfaces. Protect from rain/spray and extreme heat. Check each model’s IP rating if listed; when in doubt, keep the unit sheltered.

How should I store the battery long-term?

Store in a cool, dry place around 50–60% charge. Top up every 3–6 months. Avoid leaving at 0% for long periods.

Ordering, Shipping & VAT

Where do you ship from and how long does delivery take?

We ship from EU stock for fast delivery across Europe. Typical delivery is a few business days depending on destination and order time.

Are prices VAT-inclusive? Any customs charges?

Yes — prices shown are VAT-inclusive. EU shipping means no customs hassle. Business customers can request an invoice.

What’s included in the box?

Power station, AC charging cable, car charging cable (where applicable), and user guide. Solar cables/adapters may vary by model; see the product page.

Warranty, Returns & Safety

What is the warranty?

All VoltusBox units include a manufacturer warranty. Coverage length varies by model — see product page or your invoice for details.

Can I return my order?

Yes — 14-day return policy in original condition/packaging. Contact us first for an RMA.

Is it safe? What protections are built in?

Built-in BMS protections: over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, temperature, and more. Use only approved cables/accessories.

Can I fly with a VoltusBox?

Large batteries like these are generally not permitted on passenger flights. Check airline rules for power banks under their Wh limit if you need a smaller travel solution.

    What can PowerMax 2400, 2400 Pro, 3600 & 6000 power?

Runtimes are estimates Scale linearly with extra packs
    Appliance Category Rated Power Est. Runtime (per basis) PM 2400 (2.4 kW / 4.8 kW surge) PM 2400 Pro (2.4 kW / 4.8 kW surge) PM 3600 (3.6 kW / 7.2 kW surge) PM 6000 (6 kW / 9 kW surge, 120/240 V)

Notes: Runtime uses usable ≈ 0.85 × selected Wh and ignores start-up surges/duty cycles. In the US, “240 V-only” loads generally require the PM6000’s 240 V output. PM3600 is 3 kW continuous in US/JP (per your note).
